SUTS Youth 2026
What is SUTS Youth Camp?
Summer Under the Son (SUTS) is the annual CMS conference for global mission. It serves to teach the Bible, educate us about Christian’s experiences in other places and cultures, and grow our care and concern for the church’s need around the world. SUTS youth camp is all of that for high-school aged youth, with plenty of fun, food, and friends.
SUTS sees 200 young people and 50 volunteer leaders go way for a 5 day camp in January. A speaker will teach from the Bible, and CMS workers will share on missionary work. We make sure that young people themselves get to do the talking too, in our small group time each day. Workshops are offered to support young people in their faith and growing-up decisions. Surrounding all of this is a wave of activities, games, challenges, singing and silliness.
Who can attend camp?
SUTS youth camp is for high-school aged youth. If you are in year 7-12 in 2026, you can come! If you’re younger or older than that age window, please attend our SUTS conference.
Who runs the camp? The Director of course!
Hi! I’m Joshua, the director for SUTS youth camp, and the Youth Development Director for CMS Victoria. I really think that our church communities have a lot to learn from young people. My work is all about churches and young people learning from each other. It is our conviction at CMS that a global missions camp for young people is a great contribution to their discipleship. I aim to lead an effective team of safe, godly, and joyful volunteers for a fun and meaningful camp. In my recreational time I enjoy wood carving, one very specific book club, and stumbling upon good music. Come to SUTS youth camp, and I’d love to introduce you to our team, and hear from you about your aspirations.

Leading on SUTS
SUTS youth camp relies on volunteer leaders to run a safe and effective camp. Volunteer leaders for SUTS youth camp will receive world-class training from youth ministry experts, and a clear brief of how to be a great leader for young people. We aim to be growing leaders for youth ministry who value global mission – from new leaders to experienced leaders.

Are you at the age of leaving school in 2025?
Just because your opportunity to be a SUTS camper has come to an end, your involvement with us doesn’t have to! We run a programme for new leaders who are turning 18 in 2025, to develop you as a leader. Whether you’re finishing year 12, or doing an apprenticeship, we’d love to have you apply to our Emerging Leader programme. This programme will enable you to step into leadership with strong support.
