Registration for Mission Up Close Live 2025 will open at the end of May.

Cost: $10 concession and $15 standard (includes a light supper)

Together we will learn from God’s word, pray for global mission, and consider the way God is working to the ends of the earth. Over supper, mingle with missionaries on home assignment and hear how God is at work to draw people to himself from every corner of the globe.

Mission Up Close Live will be packed full of ways to be encouraged and emboldened in your mission partnership, to see a world that knows Jesus.

• Dan Webster (serving with his wife, Liv, in Namibia) will open God’s word for us, and Dan and Liv will share about parenting their four boys on location.
• We will hear conversations between Erina Sawyer (current Missionary in Training) and her mum Cathy Smith (former missionary to Japan), as well as Amy Stephens in dialogue with Lachlan Field about their experiences in Argentina.
• There will be time to pray and sing together, as well as an extended supper during which we can mingle with other CMS missionaries on home assignment.

Registration is through the MyCMS portal, an online platform designed to keep your details in one place and allow easier registration for CMS events.

Please note that places are limited, and registration will close when capacity is reached. There will be no admittance on the night without a ticket, and the content will not be recorded.

Where can I park?

There is plenty of parking onsite at Hoxton Park Anglican Church.

What about dinner?

Southwest Sydney is home to a smorgasbord of international cuisines and food options. Why not grab some friends and enjoy dinner together before the event?

Why the cost?

The small registration fee will support the event’s running costs as well as a light supper of tea, coffee and sweet treats.

Why has the location changed?

We are keen for supporters from all over Sydney to be able to attend our Mission Up Close Live event. This year we are excited to visit Southwest Sydney.

Can I bring extra people on the night?

Unfortunately, no. The space means numbers are limited, and no extra tickets will be available once registration closes. Don’t miss out – register now!

Is this an evangelistic event?

This event is primarily a chance for members of the CMS fellowship to hear from some of our workers about how God is working in their locations. While we will hear about God bringing people to faith, this is not an outreach event for non-believers.

Will the event be recorded or live-streamed?

To allow our missionaries and special guests to speak openly about their experiences on location, this event will not be recorded or live-streamed.
